Appears in

Smash Bros. Lawl

Game Genie is, as the name suggests, a genie summoned from a game cartridge.

Role in the Subspace Emissary[]

Game Genie appears in Real City. He is summoned by the Irate Gamer, who sends him to attack the Nostalgia Critic. It fails, as the Critic defeats him and follows Bores.

Moveset[]

  • The Game Genie snaps his fingers to create a series of four explosions on the player. Can be dodged and shielded.
  • The Game Genie snaps his fingers to summon a snake that zips across the screen twice, then falls on the player.
  • The Game Genie, without his ghostly tail, tries to wallop the player. The cartridge that protects his ghostly tail is vulnerable during this state.

Origin[]

The Game Genie appears in the Irate Gamer's review of Aladdin for the SNES. His cartridge is found at a green-screened desert by the Bores and Wise Sage, and they're teleported back home by the genie, granted by the first wish. At the end of the episode, the genie appears to have evil intentions and grants the Bores' wish of the game's final battle having more of a challenge, summoning Jafar's snake form to attack the Bores.
